Tasked with designing a mixed-use high rise located right outside the corner of the historical Parco Sempione, Torre Milanese is a high-rise building that is conscious of its context and the language of the built environment in Milan.

The building’s geometry is influenced by the prioritization of the view of the park and sensitivity to the surrounding residential area, with the widest facade facing the park and the narrowest facing the residential buildings behind. The building includes hostel floors with communal areas at the base and apartment floors for the rest, with an abundance of balconies and loggias to maximize outdoor spaces facing the park.

With the site being an urban island surrounded by roads, the open space is 1.2 meters below street level, surrounded by slopes and stair cases to isolate itself from the nearby traffic
