• Located on Naoshima Island, this meditation pavilion draws inspiration from traditional Japanese tea houses (Cha-shitsu) in its form, materiality, and atmosphere.

Designed as a space for reflection, the structure uses traditional wooden joinery and features a central hearth surrounded by tatami mats, where visitors can gather while overlooking the ocean. Positioned at the edge of the beach, the pavilion fosters a direct connection to the water and landscape, encouraging contemplation through the sights and sounds of nature.
